The Sustainability Advisory Committee, formed in 2014, is a top level committee which serves as the voice for sustainability on MORPC’s Commission and as advisors to MORPC’s sustainability-focused programming, working groups, and committees.
The Committee focuses on supporting the sustainability priorities of the MORPC member governments and its work will be integrated with MORPC’s strategic plan, its public policy agenda, and the Green Pact. The group will form sub-committees as needed to address any needs or issues that may arise.
Its purpose is to address important regional issues related to environmental sustainability, including air quality, water resources, local food, trails, energy, materials use, growth, and planning, for Central Ohio’s local governments and their communities. These areas of focus are aligned with MORPC’s structure and programs.
