A wide range of bicycle and pedestrian safety experts along with a diverse group of health professionals from across the country will gather in Columbus for the 5th Safe Routes to School National Conference.
The 2016 Safe Routes to School National Conference is an opportunity to learn how programs are changing the habits of an entire generation of school children, while improving the health and environment of numerous communities. The conference takes place April 5-7, 2016 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown, and this year’s theme is ‘Intersections: Where Transportation and Health Meet.’
It doesn’t matter if you are an expert or a novice in the field, there will be something for you at the conference. During the three-day event, professionals will share their insight, valuable tools, and how to successfully implement a Safe Routes to School program in your neighborhood.
The schedule includes a dynamic mix of meetings, breakout sessions, workshops, and several special events. In addition, the conference will feature mobile workshops and tours of local model programs and projects in Central Ohio.
