Learn How to Improve Your Community at Grant Forum

July 13, 2016

Learn something new this summer and attend the grant forum at MORPC!  Local experts will offer their insight on best practices and address common mistakes people make when writing grants.

The grant forum will take place on July 28 from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Representatives from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA), and MORPC will provide critical information and tips on grant funding opportunities and application processes.

The event will kick off with updates from MORPC staff on insight2050 and Age-Friendly Columbus, two important collaborative initiatives benefiting communities in the region. MORPC’s Membership Coordinator Eileen Leuby, will give a presentation on useful grant search service information.

Nate Vogt, MORPC’s Transportation Improvement Program Funding Manager, and Wilma Yoder, MORPC Senior Program Manager, will discuss infrastructure funding sources. ODOT representatives Jeff Shaner and Nichole Wade will inform attendees of new funding resources that are available at ODOT.

Matt LaMantia, from ODSA, will offer an update on services ODSA provides to local governments and nonprofit organizations that further enhance community development activities that benefit low to moderate income residents.

There will also be informative small breakout sessions at the forum and, most importantly, no registration fee for members, so register today!
