MORPC Seeks Public Comments on Transportation Improvement Program

March 27, 2017

If you’re wondering what transportation projects are scheduled for construction in your area, look no further than MORPC’s 2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

The TIP is a four-year program of projects and strategies to improve Central Ohio’s transportation system. These improvements will help us to respond to the shifting demographic makeup of our region and better connect people to one another. The update describes how the region will use transportation funds in state fiscal years 2018 through 2021. MORPC completes an update of the TIP every two years and it is critical to have input from our community leaders and residents.

A public information open house has been scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4th at MORPC. A presentation on the TIP is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The open house will display the projects scheduled for improvement in your area. Each project will have a description, cost, the agency responsible for the improvement and the year the improvement will occur. Transportation experts on roadways, bicycle, and pedestrian projects will also be on hand.

If you cannot make it for the Open House, please provide your input by using the 2018-2021 TIP interactive web map.
