New Edition of Columbus Metro Bike Map Now Available

June 8, 2016

Have a bike, but don’t know where to go? You’re in luck because the fifth edition of the Columbus Metro Bike Map is now available online, at local bike shops, and public libraries!

The map features safety tips, a one-sided view of the regional map, and a larger inset of the downtown/Ohio State University area.  Destination locations change over time, therefore it is essential to update the map every few years. The map is also available in an interactive online format which is routinely updated.

“The bike map is a great way to get our residents acquainted with the wonderful trails and bicycle facilities in our region,” said Kerstin Carr, MORPC Director of Planning & Environment. “It allows bicyclists to map out their routes based on the type of bicycle facilities that exist in our region and the assigned comfort level of riding on certain roadways.”

To request a copy of the printed map visit our Columbus Metro Bike Map page and fill out the form.  A MORPC staff member will respond as soon as possible.  There is a one map limit per resident.  Organizations and entities can request larger quantities.

Thank you to the many organizations involved in creating the map: City of Columbus, COTA, Columbus Metropolitan Library, MORPC RideSolutions, REI, Roll, Trek, Yay Bikes!, CT Consultants, Rails-to-Trails, Sierra Club, and Steve Magas Bike Lawyer.
