Rural Forum: Housing for All Generations

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission provides a range of forums for local governments to encourage collaborative planning efforts that help develop inclusive, strategy-building processes to build on community strengths and address challenges. By bringing subject matter experts into discussions and forums, MORPC provides valuable information and resources for communities to make informative decisions. This forum will focus on changing demographics and the need to expand housing options. A convergence of issues are contributing to the rise in housing costs. High interest rates and low inventory are contributing to a shortage of affordable housing options. A growing number of millennials are looking for larger homes to raise families.
