Executive Director
William Murdock serves as Executive Director of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC). MORPC is Central Ohio’s regional council for local governments that provides services, funding, tools, data, and resources in transportation, sustainability, housing, and development to nearly 90 member counties, cities, villages, townships, and regional agencies.
With a focus on helping Central Ohio grow better as it grows bigger, Murdock leads MORPC around its core values: Pay It Forward, Drive Investment, Build Value for Members, and Create an Environment for Prosperity. Working with a board of more than 150 local leaders and 20 community committees, he leads a dedicated professional team in proactive planning, collaborative partnerships, community services, and future-oriented policy development.
Murdock is a longtime Central Ohio resident and proud Buckeye with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Master of City & Regional Planning, and Master of Science in Parks, Recreation & Tourism Administration all from The Ohio State University.
