Workshop scheduled Nov. 9 – Applications due Dec. 17, 2021
The Central Ohio Rural Planning Organization is seeking funding applications for transportation projects and programs from eligible, local public agencies located within CORPO-member counties.
CORPO is an association of local governments conducting regional transportation planning in the non-metropolitan counties of Central Ohio.
The two-year funding cycle will make funds available for State Fiscal Years 2022 and 2023. CORPO will have $991,154 available during the cycle.
“We’re pleased to have these funds available so the region can move forward on a variety of important transportation projects. These projects will improve local communities and enhance the quality of life for area residents.”
MORPC principal transportation planner and CORPO lead staffer Mike Borger
The funding may be used for: construction, expansion, reconstruction, preliminary engineering, right of way or preservation of roads and bridges on any public road; capital costs for public transit and bus terminals; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and other transportation-related activities.
Applications for funding are due on Dec. 17, 2021. An online application form is available on the CORPO webpage at morpc.org/committees/corpo
A virtual workshop on the application and selection process will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Information on participating in the workshop is available on the CORPO webpage.
