Kuenzli brings extensive experience in environmental policy, regulatory affairs and community planning
The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Kuenzli as Chief Regional Planning Officer & Senior Director of Planning. Kuenzli brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in environmental management and regulatory affairs.
Kuenzli joins MORPC following an extensive career with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA), where she most recently served as Deputy Director of Business and Regulatory Affairs. In this role, she facilitated regulatory processes for entities seeking to establish operations in Ohio, providing guidance through the complex permitting process across multiple divisions. She also provided oversight for the Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance and played a key role in assessing, acquiring and managing federal funding opportunities. Prior to that role, Kuenzli served in a number of leadership positions within the Division of Air Pollution Control.

In addition to her work at Ohio EPA, Kuenzli has been actively involved in local zoning and land use decisions as a member of the Berlin Township Board of Zoning Appeals since May 2021.

Kuenzli holds a Master of Science in Geography from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Planning from the University of Toledo.
