District 17 seeks candidates to help evaluate local conservation project funding across six-county region
The Natural Resource Assistance Council’s District 17 is accepting nominations to fill two vacancies on its board. The openings offer an opportunity for individuals and organizations with a passion for conservation and natural resources to help shape the future of green spaces and waterways in Knox, Delaware, Fairfield, Licking, Morrow and Pickaway counties.
District 17 NRAC reviews and selects projects for funding through the Ohio Public Works Commission’s Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Program. Using an established selection methodology, the council evaluates applications and recommends those that best support land and water conservation efforts throughout the district.
The open seats may be filled by a representative from any of the eligible categories, including local governments, conservation organizations, park systems, agriculture or forestry industry, business and development sectors. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply or nominate a qualified candidate.
For more information or details on eligibility and to submit a nomination form, contact Dr. Edwina Teye at eteye@morpc.org or 614-233-4233. Nominations are due by Friday, April 25, 2025. Download the nomination form.
