MORPC is providing planning services to the Ohio EPA to develop updated and comprehensive water quality management plans for the Central Ohio region.
Water quality management plans describe the surface water quality of the watersheds based on data available from federal, state, and local sources. They show projected growth patterns and development trends, and their implications on water quality and wastewater treatment needs to guide future infrastructure planning. View the Ohio EPA Water Quality Management Plans page.
The plans also identify information about both publicly owned wastewater facilities as well as home-sewage systems and the current and future service area boundaries.
The map highlights previous phases MORPC completed for the seven-county region. In 2021, we will be focusing on the three-county area that includes Morrow, Logan, and Champaign counties (phase 5).
