MORPC staff offers regional partners assistance with Traffic Modeling and Forecasts for transportation projects and planning efforts. The types of assistance can vary in complexity, resource cost, and final deliverables, but can be generally broken down into an “Area Study” or a “Traffic Growth Rate”.
For jurisdictions desiring *Traffic Growth Rates*, please refer to the request instructions at this link: https://www.morpc.org/traffic-growth-rates/. A traffic growth rate is used to grow an existing traffic count to estimate the forecasted volume for a future year at specified locations.
For modeling assistance with *Area Studies*, (including thoroughfare plans, corridor studies, small area studies, or planned infrastructure projects requiring traffic studies or evaluation of alternatives) please click the button below to provide us more information on your project. Depending on the complexity and size of the Area Study request, there may be a cost sharing fee assessed to the requesting entity. The scope and potential costs of MORPC assistance will be determined and agreed upon during the project kick-off meeting.
